Funding & Grants
Maximise Your Opportunities with Expert Funding Support.
Accessing government grants and business funding in Malta can give your company a valuable boost. At Tyfany, we help you identify eligible schemes such as one of Malta’s key business incentives, the Micro Invest 2026–2030 scheme, administered by Malta Enterprise.
The scheme supports eligible businesses, including start-ups, family businesses, social enterprises and self-employed persons, that invest in developing, expanding and improving their operations. Support is provided through a tax credit on eligible expenditure, including qualifying business investment and increases in wage costs.
Under the new Micro Invest scheme, eligible undertakings may benefit from a tax credit of up to 65% of eligible expenditure, increasing to up to 85% for businesses operating from Gozo. The maximum tax credit is generally €65,000 over any three-year period, potentially increasing to €85,000 for qualifying businesses operating from Gozo, registered Family Businesses, Female-owned Businesses and registered Social Enterprises.
Eligible investment may include qualifying machinery and equipment, furniture and furnishings, refurbishment of business premises, digital equipment, software, SaaS solutions, websites and digital applications, as well as certain qualifying vehicles. The scheme also provides support for qualifying increases in wage costs and introduces additional support for certain wage increases awarded to employees who have been with the business for more than four years.
The new 2026 – 2030 framework also offers greater flexibility when applying. Businesses may submit one application annually, with an application potentially covering eligible expenditure incurred during the previous three consecutive calendar years, subject to the scheme’s conditions and provided the relevant years have not already been covered by an approved application.
Successfully accessing funding and incentive schemes requires careful planning, accurate and up-to-date financial records, appropriate supporting documentation and compliance with the specific conditions of each measure. This is where Tyfany can help. Our accountants and consultants provide tailored advice and practical support throughout the application process, helping businesses identify opportunities and prepare their applications correctly.
